Crushed red fruit, raspberry, strawberry and liquorice with a subtle herbal, grippy note. The palate has taut and bright acidity, lovely freshness and energy. The tannins are present and grippy, and certainly need time to integrate into the attractive fruit core. Both savoury and with a sweet fruit core. There is well-judged oak here that adds structure and mouthfeel. Needs several years to knit.
