From Apalta, this blend of Carménère and Syrah opens with an intense aroma of ripe black plum and spice, lifted by a subtle touch of aged leather. The palate is balanced, with juicy ripe black fruit, velvety tannins and excellent oak integration. Notes of damp leather and a long finish with gentle balsamic hints stand out. An attractive, intense and powerful wine.
