A smoked note to the dark fruit cloak of fruit on the nose and a herbal note as well and violets and thyme. A really juicy attack but with a sweetness and ripeness to the fruit. The tannins are polished and very well judged. This is a wine that needs time too open up, to express itself in the bottle. Dark fruits and with real density. Youthful, leather balsamic all come through on the long finish with attractive acidity as well. Powerful, sleek and needs time.
