A beautiful inky purple in the glass. Super fresh nose with graphite, earthy notes, a hint of mint and gravel. The palate is defined, with earthy graphite notes showing here as well. The tannins are firm and layered, very fine, with a chewy, structured mid-palate. There is good freshness, subtle eucalyptus notes and really well-judged oak. A superb expression of Maipo and Pirque. A long finish, and whilst it is enjoyable now, I recommend decanting — it will also improve over the coming five to ten years in bottle.
