Very fresh nose with crushed stone, fresh chalk, and crushed raspberry (but very subtle). The palate is marked by a freshness of fruit; then comes the chalky mid-palate with powdery tannins and such bright acidity. A herbal note appears towards the back of the palate, but again it is subtle. The whole bunch (50%) adds that slight grip and is very well judged. The finish is marked by a light red cherry note and that salinity that just expresses the unique terroir of Huasco.
