The nose is bright and inviting, with a lovely expression of Cab, cassis and mint leaf. The palate is juicy and rich, with fruitcake, fig and dark chocolate. Well-managed tannins that are chalky, powdery and give good structure to the brooding fruit core. An attractive saline note on the layered finish, both fresh and concentrated at the same time. A really attractive wine that needs another year in bottle to integrate the tannins fully.
