Beautiful dense and inky purple in the glass. Black olives and liquorice on the nose with sandalwood, pepper and blood sausage. Such beautiful freshness on the palate with tension as well as real depth and balance. Rich, textured and packed full of character – this has the elegance of coastal Chilean Syrah but with the concentration of Hermitage, quite a feat! Beautiful. Young, and needs time to show itself properly. But what a beautifully proportioned wine.
