A subtle volatility on the nose that is integrated, black pepper and a cedar-spiced note as well. Plenty of spice on the palate that is pure black pepper to start and then pink peppercorns followed by a slight smoked bacon note as well. A richness of fruit and density of tannins. Well-judged here; it speaks of the variety but has its own dark, brooding style.
