A plummy note and savoury with a hit of bacon fat and smoked meat. Rounded and seductive palate with chewy, firm tannins that coat the mouth - very tense and tightly coiled. There is wonderful energy and vibrancy as well, with a rich and structured cloak of cedar spice, fig, and blackberry notes. Long and fine on the finish - this will age very gracefully indeed.
