The nose is brimming with red fruits and a slight meaty and game spice note. On the palate, there is a lovely balance and weight, with fine tannins that are spiced and firm, with a pepper note. There is great weight here, and you can tell the component varieties all add their character — spice from the Carménère, lovely acidity from the Carignan, and a long, rich finish. Structured and really young, but already open for business — yet it will age really well.
