The nose has a gunflint and reductive smoked note, grilled cashew nuts, less fruit-led on the nose. The palate shows the nutty, reductive cashew notes with a bright and brilliant acidity that gives so much to the palate. This shows a fascinating balance between weight and opulence and vibrant, crystalline acidity beneath. All of the elements play so well together and are showing so nicely now, but will age wonderfully. Not as tight as this wine can be in its youth. Expressive and beautifully refreshing, and so incredibly long.
