Attractive nose, with subtle florality, some crushed dark fruits and tobacco. Silky, soft tannins, with a well-judged oak note, give structure to the wine. Fruit-wise, it is really concentrated and layered, with a clay-like texture. Certainly not a powerful wine, but with great intensity throughout. Already drinking well, yet will age beautifully. Delicious, and a great example of old-vine Carménère.
