A rich nose, showing dark fruits, cassis, dark plums, dried figs and leafy, minty character lurking beneath. The tannins here are firm, structured and delineated, with a generous and rich core of fruit and moderate acidity. Powerful and needs food to tame the tannins – intense and concentrated, with a sweetness on the finish. There is still a juiciness to the fruit; needs some dark meats and an asado.
