Very expressive aromatically, bright and vibrant, spiced and fruit-led. There is an almond note that also comes through on the nose. The tannins are so mouth-coating and dense, and give a sensation of weight and power without being heavy. Dark and brooding mid-palate with richness, almost currant notes, and then the tannins come again, and a subtle minerality appears along with the acidity on the mid-palate. Cocoa nib and a slight minty note on the finish.
