A real powerhouse on the nose with cooked fruits, spice and cocoa notes. The palate is full throttle and mouth-coating, dense and ripe, with richness, toast and a real spice to it. The palate is vanilla-led, with the oak showing through and, whilst really present, it is attractive and adds complexity. Chewy tannins and a spicy note, with good acidity lead into a long, impressive, showy and fleshy finish. The oak is well judged here, as the toast levels do not dominate the palate.
