History
Viña Geisse is a project by the renowned Chilean winemaker Mario Geisse. Located in the Colchagua Valley, this boutique winery is dedicated to producing premium wines from its own vineyards. Similar to Familia Geisse, a prominent sparkling wine producer in Brazil, their work philosophy is to create unique wines with a distinctive identity that express the characteristics and singularities of their grapes.
Vineyards The vineyards of Viña Geisse are situated in the Colchagua Valley, each with specific characteristics suited to the various grape varieties grown.
Marchigüe Its dry climate with a good diurnal temperature range, warm days, and cool nights due to the proximity to the coast, along with colluvial soils of medium to low fertility, create an ideal environment for Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, and Petit Verdot.
Paredones Located 11 km from the Pacific Ocean, it benefits from a dry climate with moderate temperatures, ideal for producing Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. The granitic soils, with a notable presence of quartz, combined with the proximity to the coast, contribute to the production of grapes with excellent freshness and acidity.
Peralillo It features clay-loam soils of medium to high fertility and a slightly more humid climate than Marchigüe. These conditions favour the cultivation of Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing grapes with excellent colour and intense fruity aromas.
