A bright nose with a blue fruit core and some slight caramel and chewy notes on the nose. The palate has again real brightness and freshness and grip. There is a chewy nature to the tannins and a dense, rich mid-palate, ripe and earthy, and with a slight liquorice note as well. A different expression of Carignan to Maule — it has the acidity and freshness of Carignan, with the richness and weight of Colchagua.
