Wonderful fresh expression on the nose, layered with tobacco and sweet spice alongside red fruits, bay leaf, and herbal notes. The palate has so much fruit, juicy and inviting with clay-like supple tannins and a richness of black fruit underneath. Lovely expression - red fruits mingle beautifully with the spiced herbal character. The tannins really stand out here; at the moment they are prominent, but with time they will integrate. Long, layered, and very fine indeed.
