A subtle note of reduction on the nose, distinctly earthy and with wild herbs and bay leaf. A powerful and rich palate, with a sleekness and really well-judged tannins that are soft, succulent and integrated into the palate. The oak is well-judged here and never dominates; the fruit is sweet and ripe, and there is a round, velvety cloak of fruit that is like a silk pillow doused in lavender oil. Youthful and ripe, and really attractive.
