Fascinating nose with purple fruit, blueberry and kirsch, spice and herbs, meat and red fruits – so incredibly expressive. The palate is tense and nervy, with superb fruit, the finest and most seductive tannins that just give such grip and balance on the palate. There is an effortless energy here; it is just brimming with vitality. The tannins are dripping with life and freshness and give the structure to allow this to age gracefully over the coming 5–10 years. Superb.
