Super bright on the nose, with some kirsch and cherry notes alongside a smoked, earthy and graphite character. The palate is highly structured, concentrated, with firm and layered tannins that are bright and show lovely balance and poise. The extraction is so well managed here, giving real finesse. As it opens, the nose reveals more dried tobacco and a gravelly, pencil-shaving note on the long, savoury and herb-infused finish. Powerful and intense, yet balanced.
