The nose is so bright and vibrant here, really attractive with sweet cassis and tobacco alongside purple notes, and slight herbal elements as well. A mouth-coating tannic structure with real brightness and density. Well judged, with a lovely balance between sweet fruit, herbal and gravel notes. A floral note also appears after a while, probably from the Carménère. Excellent, poised, brooding, with a subtle pyrazine just lurking beneath. Will age wonderfully.
