The nose is powerful, with a spiced red fruit note — herbal, balanced, sweet and inviting. The palate has ripe fruit, with a blend of red and dark fruits. The smoked meat character from the Syrah comes through on the palate as well — smoked and juicy. Quite powerful, but with real juiciness and purple fruit too — rich, flavourful and with a spiced finish. The tannins give structure and weight and, whilst this is drinking well now, it will still age gracefully over the coming few years.
