Great variety typicity here aromatically — spiced red fruits, dusty earth, dried tobacco, rosehip and leather. The palate has lovely herbal notes, then a dried herb note with dusty and fine-grained tannins. Superb concentration of fruit on the mid-palate, held together by the compact and rounded tannic structure. Herbal and so balanced, with lovely acidity and zip throughout. This is textbook País — such a long and elegant finish with liquorice notes and an earthy graphite character.
