The nose is once again generous with red spiced notes, real florality, as well as dark fruit, tobacco, and black olive tapenade. The palate has a coolness to it, with taut vertical tannins that keep this wine together. It needs time to fully come together. It is quite backward at the moment but has all the elements to harmonize in the coming years. There is a lovely balance between firm tannins and a generous lick of mineral-laden acidity underneath.
COMPOSITION: 100% Syrah
