The nose is showing oak, cedar and cassis, crushed mulberry and a caramel note. On the palate there are dark herbs, bay, pepper and graphite, with real richness and weight—damp earth and a note of wet leaves sit alongside bright blueberry notes and a balsamic note. The finish shows a slight menthol cooling note that refreshes. The tannins are firm and fine, but well judged—already approachable and will age really well. Bright, compact and silky.
