The nose is fascinating, with notes of liquorice, leather, and perfume, along with crushed dark fruit. The palate is full of acidity and spice, with a grip of rounded tannins. It is earthy and ripe, with a lick of dark, wet earth. Properly wild and dark without being heavy and overworked, with a slight balsamic note creeping through on the finish.
