A powerful and expressive nose, with forest fruit and a floral note alongside the cassis hint. The palate is marked by finely grained tannins with a lovely infusion of oak that adds spice and cigar box that never dominates. Wonderful freshness and with a long linear spice that drives the wine. Weighty and powerful but not overworked, this should age really well indeed and release the cigar box note underneath.
