The nose is attractive, with baked earth and a really subtle blue and violet florality. The palate is super rich and powerful, with firm tannins. The oak here is more present, well judged, and grows towards the end. Coffee and smoke notes as well, with a hint of violet that adds lift. Appealing and well made, traditional in style but balanced.
