The nose is not hugely expressive at the moment, showing red fruit, violet, and graphite. A lovely fresh, tense acidity courses through the wine, lifting the plush core of dark fruits, with firm and vertical tannins and a chalky, stony note underneath. There is a real herbal note that comes through on the finish - rosemary and pepper. It needs time to express itself but has so much life and energy.
