Quite ripe on the nose, with leather, herbs and a spiced game note, sweet spice underneath and a smoked bacon character as well. Quite closed on the palate, with a compact, sleek core and tannins that are marked, fine and slightly dusty. Both juicy and weighty at the same time, with a sinewy, layered finish. Cocoa and coffee notes on the finish, chalky and rich.
