Dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose, with coffee and violets. The palate is juicy and taut at the same time, with a nervy acidity and freshness, as well as blue fruit and balsamic notes. The finish is ripe, layered, and with a leather note; herbal and thyme notes come through — sleek and fresh at the same time. Bags of concentration and juicy fruit here. This is drinking really well now, but will happily age another 2–3 years.
