A powerful nose, with ripeness, purple fruit and spice. The palate has richness and tension, with leather and fruitcake, and a weight of fruit as well. The palate is full, with balsamic notes as well. The blue fruit grows on the palate, with leather and dried herbs underneath. A sweetness of fruit on the finish.
