History
Viña Los Quiscos is a family-run wine project born from a passion for wine nurtured in the hills and slopes of the Itata Valley. In 2005, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Paine, the Faúndez Arias family decided to plant and certify an organic vineyard. The place, adjacent to the El Inca stream and surrounded by quiscos, Chile is endemic cacti, inspired the vineyard's name. They started by planting five varieties of organic grapes and, over time, added four more. In 2012, they launched their first wine with the five varieties, and in 2015, they presented their first blend with the nine varieties, which remain to this day.

In 2014, the family began the organic certification of their century-old vineyards in the Itata Valley, and in 2017, they launched their first organic País wine, named Trancoyan, in honour of the vineyard's location.

Currently, Viña Los Quiscos focuses on expanding the planting of new varieties in Paine and exploring new options in the Itata Valley and further south.

Vineyards
El Escorial
An organic vineyard located in the Maipo Valley, at the foot of El Pancho hill in the Paine commune. It is situated at 480 m above sea level. This vineyard enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with warm days and cool nights in summer. The alluvial soils, with three different natural terraces, allow for varied and healthy espalier cultivation.
Varieties planted: 1 ha of Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 ha of Carménère, ½ ha of Malbec, ½ ha of Petit Verdot, ½ ha of Syrah, ½ ha of Mourvèdre, ½ ha of Carignan, ½ ha of Grenache, and ½ ha of Petite Sirah.

Portezuelo
An organic vineyard located in the Coastal Range of the Itata Valley, 30 km in a straight line from the sea, in the heart of the dry-farmed interior. This vineyard hosts País vines over 150 years old, planted as bush vines on granite hillsides with varying clay content. The climate in Portezuelo is characterised by warm summers and rainy winters.
