History
Viña Las Pitras, with over 90 years of history in the Curicó Valley, embodies the winemaking tradition and passion of the Balbontín family. Their Raíces wines reflect the values and love for the land passed down through generations, and speak of the strong and deep family roots that are the foundation of their principles and dedication to viticulture.

Located in the Curicó Valley, their vineyards stretch across the slopes of the Majadilla hills, bordering the Mataquito River, which is formed by the confluence of the Lontué and Teno rivers originating from the Andes Mountains. This privileged location provides the perfect balance for vineyard development, granting the Raíces wines great structure and elegance.

The old Manor House, over 200 years old and in Chilean colonial style, is an icon of the winery and houses the winemaking cellar. It is also a tourist attraction due to its beauty and preservation. Here, the third and fourth generations of the Balbontín family continue the tradition, welcoming visitors and sharing their passion for wine.

Vineyards
The winery includes the estates of Las Pitras, El Carmen de Majadilla, and San Luis in the Curicó Valley, and Santa Macarena on the coast of Santo Domingo; each with unique characteristics that contribute to the richness of their wines. In its more than 100 hectares of vineyards, it cultivates varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère, and Syrah.
