History
Viña Espaldares del Maipo is a Chilean winery founded in 2007 by Fernando Bou, who inherited a rich tradition of pisco production from his family, dedicated to this craft for over a century. With a passion for viticulture, this family-owned business has developed vineyards both in the renowned Maipo Valley and the emerging Choapa Valley.

The winery specialises in the production of premium wines, sparkling wines, Late Harvest wines, and fortified wines similar to Port. Each of these products is crafted with care and dedication, offering unique and sophisticated sensory experiences. The blend of modern winemaking practices with ancestral techniques ensures that each bottle captures the essence of its rich family tradition. Additionally, the winery offers an oenological experience that honours its history and the art of traditional winemaking.

Fernando Bou, along with French winemaker Stéphane Geneste, strives for perfection in their wine production. They carefully select grapes, ensuring every step from vine to bottle represents their dedication and commitment to excellence, honouring the unique nature of the terroir.

Vineyards
Maipo Valley
Known for its ideal climatic conditions and fertile soils, the vineyard produces renowned varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay. These wines are characterised by their robustness, complexity, and balance, reflecting the best winemaking traditions of central Chile.

Choapa Valley
With its semi-arid climate, considerable thermal amplitude, and mineral-rich soils, this region offers a unique terroir for viticulture. Here, the winery cultivates varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, and Touriga Nacional, resulting in fresh, intense wines with a notable concentration of aromas and flavours.
