History Founded in 1933 in the heart of the Cachapoal Valley, Viña Butron Budinich is a family-run winery that has spent over ninety years —and four generations— weaving together innovation and tradition. The result is a collection of high-end wines that capture the purest expression of their land.
Every bottle tells a story of Chilean viticulture at its very finest. The portfolio reflects the remarkable diversity of Cachapoal’s terroir: from the daring character of natural and orange wines to the finesse of Single Vineyard selections. Ancient winemaking traditions live on through the use of clay amphorae, while French oak barrels add a touch of refinement, yielding wines of singular personality and depth.
Revitalising vineyards more than 70 years old, the winery blends its heritage and wisdom with state-of-the-art technology. This pursuit of balance —between timeless tradition and modern boldness— fuels the passion of the new generations.
Today, Viña Butron Budinich wines are enjoyed across the globe, in markets such as the United States, Japan, China, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica and a further seven countries. This commitment to excellence is reflected in a consistent track record of international awards and scores ranging from 90 to 96 points, underscoring the passion poured into every bottle.
Vineyards The vineyards are located in the Cachapoal Valley, spanning the areas of Rancagua and Requínoa, while additional grapes are sourced from select projects in the Colchagua Valley.
